The Early Edition reads the news so you can start the day with the facts. Every morning at 05:30 we publish a short brief of the last 24 hours in South Africa: ten to twenty plain sentences, with a link to the reporting behind each story.
What we do
We follow the public news feeds of South African and international publishers. When several outlets report the same event, we show it once and list every outlet that covered it. Each item links to the publisher, who owns the full story. We encourage you to read it there.
What we do not do
- We do not republish articles. Each story shows the small picture its publisher supplies with it, credited to the publisher and linked to the story. We keep no copies of those pictures.
- We do not write original news. We point you to the people who do.
- We do not sell your email address.
